Cape Harbour to hold third annual New Year’s Eve party

2 min read

Cape Harbour’s third annual New Year’s party on Dec. 31 promises to be one of the most explosive parties in the city.

Everyone is welcome to come help ring in a new year with music, food, drinks, fireworks and the traditional 170-foot ball drop to kick off 2009. The highlight will be the crowd counting down in preparation for the ball drop from the 15th floor of the Marina South condominium complex against a backdrop of a midnight fireworks show.

As 2008 draws to a close, revelers may want to come early to relax and enjoy some of the fine restaurants within Cape Harbour, including the waterfront elegance of Rumrunners with open dinner seating from 6-10:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Or select the VIP Title Sponsorship Package that offers a five-course dinner for 10 to 20 guests or a private VIP area for up to 40 people.

Pignoli, on Cape Harbour’s Promenade, will feature live music and a special New Year’s menu complete with drinks and a champagne toast at midnight from reserved tables with a marina view. Great food, endless drinks, champagne and party favors will also be the fare at The Joint, topped off by live music performed by the band A-200 starting at 6 p.m.

Additionally, other shops and galleries will be open for browsing and holiday shopping.

Banana Bay Tour Company will make its final voyage of the year, a two-hour cruise beginning one hour before sunset. Parking will be available at the marina for up to 500 cars with additional parking and free shuttle service provided at Camelot Isles Shopping Center, located at the corner of Cape Coral Parkway and Chiquita Boulevard.
