Shirt sales at Ford’s Garage to benefit nonprofit aiding breast cancer patients
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ford’s Garage is again turning pink for a purpose, continuing its partnership with the Pink Fund as it celebrates 20 years of providing support to breast cancer patients and their families.
Throughout October, the public can visit the restaurant and purchase a limited-edition Pink Fund T-shirt for $20, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Pink Fund. The nonprofit provides financial assistance for basic living expenses to breast cancer patients in active treatment, helping ease financial stress so they can focus on their health, recovery and families.
The campaign marks the seventh year Ford’s Garage and the Pink Fund have joined forces. Through the generosity of the public and team members, over $60,000 has been raised for the organization.
“Seeing our guests rally around Pink Fund year after year has made this partnership incredibly meaningful to our entire Ford’s Garage family,” said President Billy Downs said. “This year is especially significant as Pink Fund celebrates its 20th anniversary. We’re proud to recognize that milestone while giving our guests an easy way to support breast cancer patients and families when they need it most.”
Since its founding in 2006, the Pink Fund has worked to address financial stress that can accompany a breast cancer diagnosis. The nonprofit provides assistance for essential expenses, such as housing, transportation, utilities and insurance, helping patients maintain financial stability while undergoing treatment.
“For 20 years, Pink Fund has been committed to helping breast cancer patients keep a roof over their heads, food on the table and utilities on while they undergo treatment,” said co-founder and CEO Molly MacDonald said. “Longtime partners like Ford’s Garage make that work possible.
