Suncoast Credit Union invests $316,500 in Lee County Schools
The School District of Lee County is grateful to receive $316,500 in annual grant funding from Suncoast Credit Union to expand learning opportunities for students across the district.
Suncoast Credit Union’s donation will help students pursue participation in academic and artistic competitions and events including the Lee County Spelling Bee, Art Walk, the Lee County Student Film & Television competition, and the Young People’s Concert at the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra. The funds will continue to support early childhood education by contributing to the implementation of five PreK classrooms across the district. The funds also expand enrichment opportunities in Career and Technical Education, JROTC and Adult Education. This comprehensive investment in students and schools empowers the next generation of leaders, creators, and professionals in our community.

Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses their debit or credit card, the credit union donates four cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and donated more than $68 million.
