Slipaway to host weekly Pilates classes
Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina in Cape Coral is offering the public a relaxing way to start the weekend with a mat Pilates class on Saturday mornings.
Designed for all ages and experience levels, it includes mat-based activities that are low-impact and community-friendly.
The classes will be held weekly from September through December, and they will feature a rotation of different local studios leading the 45-minute session.
Participating studios include Club Pilates, Drip Pilates, Fuego Pilates, P³ Pilates and Rise Pilates.
The September and October classes will run from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m., and the November and December classes will run from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Classes will not be held on Oct. 31, Nov. 28 or Dec. 26 due to the holidays.
Tickets are $25 per person and include a mimosa or mocktail. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and sweat towel.
The public is welcome to arrive by boat and tie up at one of the venue’s 26 docks or arrive by vehicle and park on-site for free.

Santos joins Pinnacle’s Cape Coral team
Pinnacle Financial Partners, which merged with Synovus Bank, has added Jay Santos as office leader in Cape Coral.
In his new role, he will focus on building relationships, developing his team, supporting local businesses, and helping clients find financial solutions that fit their personal and business needs.

He brings more than eight years of private banking, wealth planning and relationship management experience serving high-net-worth families, business owners and clients with complex financial needs. Santos previously held roles at Key Private Bank and Busey Bank.
Airport reports on July traffic numbers
During July, 680,168 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. It was a decrease of 5.7% compared to July 2025.
Year-to-date, passenger traffic is down 0.04%.
The traffic leader was Delta with 166,696 passengers. Rounding out the top five airlines were American (127,968), Southwest (127,170), United (113,151) and Breeze (51,087).
The airport had 6,129 aircraft operations, a decrease of 3.5% compared to July 2025.
Page Field had 14,968 operations, which was a 30% increase compared to July 2025.
Southwest Florida International Airport served more than 11.1 million passengers in 2025 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for passenger traffic. No ad valorem (property) taxes are used for airport operation or construction.
