Lee BIA Builders Care names Ford as executive vice president
Lee BIA Builders Care recently announced that Phillip Ford, longtime executive vice president of the Lee Building Industry Association, has been named executive vice president of the nonprofit. He will continue serving in his current role as executive vice president of Lee BIA.
Since 2005, Lee BIA Builders Care has served as the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee BIA with a mission to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means. While the organizations will continue operating as separate entities with independent boards, Ford’s expanded role will strengthen collaboration and impact among both organizations.
As executive vice president of Lee BIA Builders Care, Ford will oversee daily operations, work alongside staff and the board of directors to advance the organization’s mission, cultivate partnerships across the building industry and lead fundraising initiatives that will support meaningful home projects for homeowners in need.
Ford brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the home building industry, serving as the executive vice president of the Lee BIA since 2016. In this role, he has expanded industry collaboration, launched workforce development initiatives such as Build My Future, established student internship opportunities and fostered relationships that connect the building industry with meaningful community impact.
Prior to his work with Lee BIA, Ford served as executive vice president of the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association for 14 years and previously held leadership positions with Home Builders Associations in Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia.
