Aroma Joe’s, one of the nation’s fastest-growing, handcrafted-beverage franchises, recently expanded its operations in Southwest Florida.

Originally located primarily in the Northeast, Aroma Joe’s is expanding across the Sunshine State with the opening of two new Southwest Florida locations in the past month.

The North Fort Myers Aroma Joe’s location is at 18961 Del Tura Plaza Lane, just off U.S. 41. The other location is in Port Charlotte at 16400 Franklin Ave.

Aroma Joe’s opened a Cape Coral location —- 4320 Del Prado Blvd. S —- in February.

Franchise partner Bob Brennan, a retired car dealer from Maine, says he likes people. So when his friends started the business, he and his partner Aaron Wiswell were interested in joining them and expanding into the south.

“We decided to bring the happiness to Florida,” Brennan said. “I worked in Florida and Cape Coral for 25 years. I know the business and the location and started building. We have three (now) and (we) just want to keep rocking.”

The 1,590-square-foot location will employ approximately 18 to 20 people, support continued economic growth and deliver handcrafted beverages, specialty coffee and Aroma Joe’s signature AJ’s RUSH energy drinks or maybe even a FroJoe.

In addition to the signature drinks, food options include breakfast sandwiches, soft pretzels, cinnamon rolls and donuts for both breakfast and afternoon snacks.

Many coffee houses are being built right now, some of them drive-thrus only. Aroma Joe’s also has a walk-in service that allows you to come in, sit down, relax and maybe even have some fun.

“What makes us different? We make us different,” Brennan said. “We have friendly service. You talk to a person when you order, and you talk to (a person) when you pick (your order) up —- not a box,” Brennan said. “The kids we hire have a blast. It’s a fun atmosphere and that translates to the customer. At the end of the day, people will do business with people they like.”

Founded in 2000, Aroma Joe’s now has 137 locations across Maine —- where it is headquartered —- New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida.

They are currently planning to open new stores along the East Coast.

No matter how many stores Aroma Joe’s opens, it will always concentrate on customer service.

“When you come and visit us, you’re going to be part of the family. That’s just the way it is,” Brennan said. “We know your name when you come into the parking lot. That’s how we do it in New England. That’s how we do it here. We’re happy to have you.”

Aroma Joe’s is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit aromajoes.com.
