The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village is showcasing a deeply personal and inspiring art exhibition in its lobby, featuring the work of longtime associate Larry Miller, loss prevention officer, and a gifted artist whose journey reflects the power of family, resilience and service.
Miller’s paintings are more than works of art; they are expressions of love, healing and remembrance. After the heartbreaking loss of his grandson, Tobias, who passed away at just 9 months old due to a rare congenital disorder, Miller turned to painting as a form of comfort, strength and celebration. Each piece displayed is lovingly signed Tobias, symbolizing that his grandson is with him in every stroke, every moment and every creation.
Throughout his journey, Miller found unwavering encouragement from his Westin family, his colleagues and leaders who supported his passion and stood beside him as he discovered a new way to express grief and love.
“Painting became a way for me to grieve, to heal, and to stay connected to my grandson,” said Larry Miller. “Tobias is with me every step of the way. The support from my Westin family gave me the courage to share something so personal, and I’m truly grateful to work in a place where people care not just about what we do, but who we are.”
