29th annual LCEC fishing tournament reels in nearly $85,000 to benefit the United Way of Lee, Hendry & Glades counties
The 29th annual LCEC United Way Fishing Tournament total is in, raising nearly $85,000 for the United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades counties.
The catch-and-release tournament was held at D&D Bait and Tackle in Matlacha where it has taken place for decades.
In total, 79 boats and more than 240 anglers participated in the tournament and took part in the winning and bidding on nearly 200 raffle and auction items.
Fishing tournament winners include:
• Grand Slam – Team Hamilton & Hamilton
• Largest Trout – Team Cozy Kittenz
• Largest Red Fish – Team Hamilton & Hamilton
• Largest Snook – Team Hamilton & Hamilton
• Mystery Fish – Team Landis + Gyr
