A one-of-a-kind wellness bus will travel the community to relieve stress through a mind, body and longevity approach.

Grounding Spot Founder Frances Borshell said the business came to be because of COVID, as anxiety and depression skyrocketed.

“We wanted to bring real transformation to people’s lives to help them break through their own limiting beliefs and barriers,” she said, which evolved in the mind, body and longevity approach. “We incorporate holistic healing from a mind perspective.”

Grounding Spot offers mental fitness coaching, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV therapy, acupuncture, cold plunge, sauna, massages, meditation, sound healing and pilates, yoga and fusion sculpt classes.

“We are extremely unique that we bring all of those modalities under one roof to help create real change in people’s lives,” she said. “Everything we do is designed to decrease inflammation. Inflammation is the center of all diseases. One of the leading causes of inflammation is stress, anxiety. Everything we offer here is designed to decrease stress and improve mental fitness, clarity and longevity,” Borshell said.

The Estero location, at Coconut Point Mall, is place where people can share their transformations, she said.

“It’s not just a place to come to get coaching, an IV, a great workout. It’s really a place where people fall deeper in love with themselves,” she said.

Grounding Spot is now launching the Florida’s first mobile meditation and IV Therapy unit among a 27-foot wellness bus, which includes a nurse practitioner on the bus.

“Inside of the bus it is very elegant and beautiful,” Borshell said. “We are bringing it out to the community for employers for employee wellness.”

The bus is dubbed “food truck for the soul” and features seven private meditation pods, including one that is handicapped accessible. Each pod has a comfortable seat, cushions, a table computer, and noise canceling headphones for immersive and restorative meditation sessions lasting up to 15 minutes.

Director of Grounding Spot Mobile Wellness Phoebe Deighin said a really big part of the mobile unit is focused on businesses because since COVID, there has been a decline in mental health, with more burnout than ever before. She said 77% of workers have experienced work-related stress in the last month, which means there are 63% more employees more likely to take a sick day and 2.6% more likely to look for a new job.

“The tenure of the employees right now is 3.9 years and 3.5 in the private sector. Retention is very fragile,” Deighin said, adding that the cost to recruit and retain a replacement is six to nine months of an individual’s salary. “Burnout and stress is really a factor of finance to employers. It is important to invest in the mental and physical well-being of employees. There are 12 billion working days lost to depression and anxiety and one trillion dollars lost in productivity.”

The bus offers meditation, IV Vitamin Therapy – to boost hydration, immunity and energy, and Stem Cell and Exosome Therapy – to promote healing, hair growth and skin rejuvenation.

The Exosome Therapy uses the regenerative power of stem cells without using the stem cells themselves to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, activate dormant hair follicles, and help calm inflammation, she said.

“We will be going to fire departments and working with schools, organizations and hospitals for hospital burnout and we are also going to target wedding parties. Individuals can come on the bus for 15-to-30-minute reprieve, grounded and centered,” Borshell said. “We are transforming stress into calm and then we can also do vitamin injections and vitamin IV’s.”

The impact of the bus is transforming stress into calm while improving joy and fulfillment, she said.

“We are also bringing Grounding Spot Mobile Wellness to parks where we will be doing wellness events from meditation to Pilates, yoga and IV therapy,” she said. “The goal is to have a recurring day each week. For example, there are a couple of parks that we will be promoting very soon in Cape Coral, as well as partnerships with different organizations. In addition we have folks who are interested in franchising a brick-and-mortar in Cape Coral.”

Borshell said there are many customers that are traveling to Grounding Spot that really want a Cape Coral location.

“The mobile wellness bridges that gap,” she said.
