Additional correspondence between the City of Cape Coral and the Department of Governmental and Operational Efficiency is now available online: https://www.capecoral.gov/government/doge_correspondence.php

“In response to the DOGE Letter on May 26, 2026, all requested records were provided by the June 25th deadline. Information maintained electronically in Cape Coral data systems was provided to DOGE with read-only electronic access to download the information directly,” the city’s Communications Office said in a release issued this morning.

“The City has not been given any indication of when DOGE will complete its inquiry. If DOGE issues recommendations, they will be posted on our website,” officials said.

“This online resource supports transparency and open government by providing residents and stakeholders with access to DOGE’s formal communications and the City’s responses to the agency. New documents will be uploaded on an ongoing basis to keep the public informed.”
