Power outages top 1 million customers statewide

According to a FindEnergy.com release this morning 1,222,369 out of 11,942,584 tracked meters — more than 10% — were without power in Florida.

In Lee County as of 6:55 a.m., 70,777 were without power.

In Cape Coral, outages were minimal as of this morning with 243 customers — about .3% — without electric services, according to LCEC.

On Sanibel and Captiva, however, more than 18% of customers were without power. On Pine Island, the number was 9.74%
