Fourth annual South Cape Martini Competition Jan. 30
Twelve South Cape restaurants and lounges are scheduled to participate in the 2010 event. Each will offer its best martini as well as an appetizer. Participants spend a leisurely evening going from location to location on a special fleet trolleys. They sip, swirl and nosh on the delectable offerings and at the end of the evening, everyone votes on the best martinis they tried.
The twelve martini tasting locations are: Ralph’s Place, Pearl Lounge, Mardi Gras Neauvo, Rack’em Billiards, Back Street Sports Bar, Twisted Conch, Eddie Fish Bowls, Wine & Roses, Monkey Bar & Steakhouse, Paradise Tiki Hut, Leapin’ Lizard Bar & Grille and Cruisers Lounge
Only 1,000 tickets will be sold for the 2010 event, so get on board early. The past three year’s events had completely sold out. Tickets are $20 (must be 21 or over).
Tickets are available NOW and can be purchased at Leapin Lizard, 1719 Cape Coral Pkwy E.; True Value Hardware, 1407 Cape Coral Pkwy E.; June’s Hallmark, 1339 Cape Coral Pkwy E.; Ralph’s Place, 1306 Cape Coral Pkwy E.; and Cape Dog Bakery, 1207 Cape Coral Pkwy E.
Check-in booths will open at 6:45 p.m. and will be located in Big John Plaza and Leapin Lizard. Attendees may park in any of the two locations and then ride the trolleys to all the other tasting locations. Note: The parking lots at Big John Plaza, Iguana Mia Plaza and Club Square are city of Cape Coral owned parking lots with ample free parking available.
“Special Designated Driver Tickets” will be sold at the check-in booths only at starting 6:45 p.m. on the day of the event for $10 for groups of two or more, which will allow the designated driver to ride the trolley shuttle and taste the appetizers.
