Kurt Donaldson Park playground closes temporarily for equipment replacement
The playground at Kurt Donaldson Park, 180 Hunter Blvd., Cape Coral, has closed — temporarily — beginning today, Monday, Aug. 17, while existing playground equipment is replaced with new gear.
The playground is expected to remain closed through the end of September, with weather and construction conditions permitting. The area could reopen sooner if work is completed ahead of schedule.
The new playground will feature shade, swings, slides, climbing hardware as well as other equipment designed to provide children with an enhanced place to play.
Other nearby Lee County Parks & Rec playgrounds are available to use during the closure. Visit leeparks.org, select “Park Finder” and search by the “Playground” amenity to find one nearest you.
