ENGAGEMENT | Dongo-Bernard
Marlene Spencer announced the engagement of her son, Alix Bernard, to Ximena Dongo, daughter of Ivan and Lily Dongo of Fort Myers.
Alix is a graduate of Cape Coral High School and Fort Myers Technical College. He works as a welder at IMS in Cape Coral, a subsidiary of a Norwegian company, which allows him to travel for his work. The son of Martin Patrick Bernard of Maine and grandson of the late Dorina and Olin Bernard of Rumford Point, Maine, Alix has deep roots in the New England area.
Ximena is a graduate of Cypress Lake High School and Florida Gulf Coast University, where she earned her degree in health science. She is a skilled violinist and is working as an ear, nose and throat assistant in the Fort Myers area, with plans to pursue a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
A wedding date has not yet been announced.
