Samantha Windecker of Charlotte, N.C., daughter of Louis and Marlene Windecker of Tinley Park, Ill., and David Koenig, also of Charlotte, N.C., son of Bob and Cindy Koenig of Fort Myers, have announced their engagement. The couple will wed Aug. 20, 2016, at the Inn at Tranquility Farm in Waynesville, N.C.

Samantha is a registered nurse in surgical services at Carolinas Medical Center – Mercy in Charlotte. She has a bachelor of science in human ecology with a minor in exercise science from the Ohio State University, and a bachelor of science in nursing from Cox College.

David is in outside sales at Ferguson Waterworks in Charlotte. He has a degree in business management from Oklahoma State University.
