Monthly outreach event set for veterans in Cape
The City of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation and Community Bridge will host a Community Heroes: Veteran Outreach Program from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the South Cape Community Center.
The event will feature a monthly educational topic, “Mobility and Safety at Home.”
In addition, there will be free health screenings, free legal assistance, veteran service organizations, VA healthcare navigation assistance, honoring veterans with framed heroes, live product demonstrations, essential giveaways and resource kits, Bingo and prizes, and complimentary refreshments.
Future outreach events will be held on Oct. 22, Nov. 19 and Dec. 17.
The South Cape Community Center is at 4544 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral.
