Naming suggestions needed for two new county schools
The School District of Lee County is launching the naming process for two new schools. Suggestions are currently being accepted for a new high school in Alva and a new elementary school in Lehigh Acres. Both schools are supported by the half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2018 and help to alleviate overcrowding in East Region schools. High School NNN is located at 21700 Tuckahoe Road in Alva. The campus will open in August 2027 with a capacity of 2,000 students. It will offer unique opportunities for students to prepare for careers in agriculture with academies in Agri-Technology and Animal Husbandry.
