Keith Zumar, a 2001 graduate from Cape Coral High School, was sworn in as lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy on Sept. 1. He is currently serving on the USS Vella Gulf, a guided missile cruiser. Since enlisting in June 2001, he has had four deployments and served on three ships.
