BASEBALL

North Fort Myers 5, Mariner 1: Thomas Eisminger was 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored for the Red Knights (2-5). Caedon Conn was 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring a run. Logan Divet and Junior Tome drove in a run each. Jakob Wagner struck out eight in 5 1/3 innings. Xavier Muentes homered for the Tritons (2-6).

Ida Baker 6, Cape Coral 5: Riley Byrd was 3-for-4 with an RBI, scoring twice, for the Bulldogs (5-2). Santiago Liendo was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Bishop Verot 1, Neumann 0: Behind their third consecutive game of shutout pitching, the Vikings (8-0) took the championship of the Private 8 Conference tournament. Brody Baxmann scored in the second inning. Jason Bello and Brett Flock combined on the shutout.

SOFTBALL

North Fort Myers 13, Lakewood Ranch 10: North won a slugfest to remain unbeaten (8-0). Mia Lane did some serious slugging, hitting two home runs and a double in a 4-for-4 game with four RBI and three runs scored. Alison Smith was 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Ida Baker 10, Cape Coral 0 (5 innings): Julie Nieves led the Ida Baker offense, going 2-for three with three RBI and a run scored. Laurynn Maybery homered, doubled, drove in a run and scored twice. Meagan Kunkel tripled, doubled, and had both an RBI and a run scored. Kaiden Nealeight struck out seven in three innings. The Bulldogs are the early leaders in District 5A-11 at 4-3, 2-0 in district play. Meanwhile, the Seahawks slipped to 3-5, 0-3.

Port Charlotte 13, Oasis 6: Audrey Doan drove in two Sharks (0-6) runs. Madelyn Simison had two hits.

BOYS LACROSSE

Bishop Verot 11, Belen Jesuit 5: The Vikings (8-0) handed Belen Jesuit its first loss (8-1).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Bishop Verot 12, Aubrey Rogers 0: Lily Lockard scored three times and made four assists to lead the Vikings (2-4). Lockart reached 100 assists for her Vikings career. Piper Kelleher scored four times, Daphne O’Hara three times and Ava Byrd twice. Clare Murnane added a goal as well. Goaltender Bridget Horlbek recorded her first career shutout, making six saves.

Thursday

SOFTBALL

North Fort Myers 8, North Port 0: Mia Lane homered and drove in two runs on a 2-for-4 night as the Red Knights (7-0) remained unbeaten. Alison Smith and Kaliyah Williams also had two RBI each. Williams and Jordy Prado combined on a three-hit shutout with Jordyn Prado with 13 strikeouts.

Ida Baker 4, Port Charlotte 1: Laurynn Mayberry, Meagan Kunkel, Juliana Nieves and Makayla Nieves each drove in a run for the Bulldogs (3-3). Kaiden Nealeigh allowed one unearned run for the win.

ECS 4, Bishop Verot 0: The Vikings (4-1) lost in the Private 8 Conference tournament championship game. Gianni Torres and McKenna Robbins had two hits each for Bishop Verot.

Bonita Springs 20, Cape Coral 7: Abigail Brannan was 3-for-4 with a triple and a double, driving in three runs for the Seahawks (3-4). Emma Brannan (2-for-4) with two RBI.

BASEBALL

Bishop Verot 6, Canterbury 0: The Vikings (7-0) advanced into the final of the Private 8 Conference tournament with a shutout of the Cougars. Joey Lawson went five innings with nine strikeouts for the win, with Owen Rardin working two innings of relief. Lawson drove in a run, as did Braylon Sheffield. The Vikings were to travel to Neumann for the Private 8 title game Friday.

Bonita Springs 12, Cape Coral 0 (5 innings): Cape remains in search of its first win (0-8).

Charlotte 5, Island Coast 3: The Gators (3-4) managed to score three runs despite being held to one hit.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Bonita Springs 5, Cape Coral 0: The Bull Sharks won their first match of the season.

Lemon Bay 5, Ida Baker 0: The Bulldogs are off to a 0-3 start.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Riverdale 33, Cape Coral 0: For the Seahawks (1-3), it was their third loss in a row following losses to Mariner and Ida Baker..

GIRLS LACROSSE

Cape Coral 17, Cypress Lake 2: Cape moved back above .500 at 4-3.
