Monday

BASEBALL

Oasis 14, Mariner 4: Grayson Medico was 2-for-3 with three RBI for the Sharks (2-3). Noah Pinney had two hits and two RBI. Gabe Gair went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Sean Osborn scored four times. Ryan Kotarski, Romero Gist and Pabro Hernandez drove in runs for the Tritons (1-5).

IMG Academy Gold 5, Island Coast 2: Mason Blackburn had a hit for the Gators (3-3) and scored a run. Austin Schoolcraft also scored for Island Coast.

SOFTBALL

Mariner 17, Oasis 0 (5 innings): Gabi Winters pitched a five-inning no-hitter, walking one and striking out 12. She was also 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored. Mia Standard was 3-for-3 with a walk, driving in two runs and scoring four times. Kylie Dominello added two RBI for Mariner (4-2). Oasis fell to 0-5.

North Port 25, Island Coast 0 (3 innings): Island Coast is 1-3.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Estero 9, Cape Coral 8: The narrow defeat left the Seahawks 3-3.

Cardinal Mooney 12, Bishop Verot 9: Lily Lockard scored three times and made an assist for the Vikings (1-5). Piper Kelleher and Daphne O’Hara each had two goals and an assist. Kendall Sullivan forced five turnovers and five ground balls, while goalie Bridget Horibeck made a career-best seven saves.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

LaBelle 4, Mariner 1: The Tritons are 1-2.

Charlotte 3, Bishop Verot 2: The Vikings (3-1) were edged out by the Tarpons.

BOYS TENNIS

LaBelle 6, Oasis 1: No. 1 singles player Michael Abreu won his match for the Sharks.

BOYS BASKETBALL

SFABC BOYS ALL-STAR GAME

Four Mariner seniors have been selected for the annual Southwest Florida Association of Basketball Coaches’ all-star game, along with players from Cape Coral and Bishop Verot.

Marcus Kelley Jr. of the Tritons was chosen to play on the opposite side from his three teammates. Kelley and the Vikings’ Leroy Roker will be wearing dark uniforms. Selected for the white team were Corey Hunter, Kelvin Jiminez and Justin Lewis of Mariner, along with Austin Arringdale-Klein of Cape Coral.

Roker is one of five Mr. Basketball finalists, along with Tavian Cook of Gateway, Calven Charles of Palmetto Ridge, Adrian Rodriguez of First Baptist Academy and Brady Knutson of Estero. The winner will be announced at the game.

The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. next Monday at Bishop Verot.

Mariner will be playing in the FHSAA Class 5A state semifinals Wednesday in Lakeland against top-seeded Miami Norland. Should the Tritons advance to Friday’s championship game, they would face either Daytona Beach Mainland or Tampa Blake.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

SFABC GIRLS ALL-STAR GAME

Five Ida Baker Bulldogs will represent the West Zone in Monday’s game, which pits a team of Lee County players against a squad of Collier County and one Charlotte County player.

Seniors Alexandra Reuss, Juliana Nieves, Makayla Nieves, Emma Beauchamp and McKenzie Cole were all selected from Ida Baker.

The game is 6 p.m. Monday at Bishop Verot.
