The Jupiter Hammerheads, the Low-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, swept into town and took four of six games in a series with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels at Hammond Stadium last week.

The Hammerheads (30-35), third in the newly created East Division of the new Low-A Southeast League, swept the doubleheader Thursday 9-2, 2-1, won Friday 9-1 and captured Sunday’s game 8-2.

The Mighty Mussels, the affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, remain third in the West Division of the Low-A Southeast League. They won the opener Tuesday 12-10 and won Saturday’s game 7-5.

The Mighty Mussels received their best pitching performance of the series Saturday from Orlando Rodriguez, who was making his debut for Fort Myers. The 25-year-old right-hander allowed seven hits and one run over seven innings, while striking out six.
