Nelson gets things done

By Staff | Aug 12, 2022

To the editor:

If Cape Coral residents want to continue to have honest, compassionate, positive, dedicated, and transparent representation they should reelect Jennifer Nelson.

I have seen Jennifer’s dogged work ethic, contagious enthusiasm, and ability to collaborate well with others firsthand through our mutual passion for PACE Center for Girls. Jennifer has served on the PACE Board of Directors for eight years and has filled numerous leadership roles with ease and grace. She has an uncanny ability to rally those around her to work towards a common goal.

Her involvement in local organizations does not stop at PACE. Since 2007 she has lent her talents and devotion to many others including the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, Hope Clubhouse, Recycle Florida, and several Lee County Commission Advisory Committees including the Sustainability Advisory Committee and Horizon Council. She has not only volunteered for charitable organizations but also has years of professional experience working for Goodwill Industries for over 20 years as well as leading the Uncommon Friends Foundation for four years.

Jennifer gets things done. Period. But what makes her most effective is the way she gets them done. She makes even the most complex decisions with kindness, empathy, and respect for others. I hope those voting on Tuesday, Aug. 23, will once again choose Jennifer, a leader that represents the residents of Cape Coral with the dignity, civility and compassion.
