To the editor:

It’s about time for the City of Cape Coral to cap our taxes.

With our present city manager, who we have had for several years, came higher taxes and fees, plus two taxes on our electric bills going to the city like we don’t pay enough.

Our city manager should have been fired after he wasted all that money trying to get a franchise agreement with LCEC but instead they gave him a raise in pay.

It is about time the mayor did something for the residents of this city about the spending and waste of tax dollars.

With a lot of people out of a job and looking for new employment, the residents of this city are going to need a tax break.Perhaps the city will consider doing away with one of the taxes on our electric bills; that would be start in the right direction
