Richard Joseph Zeske

Richard Joseph Zeske, 91, of Cape Coral passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024. Richard was born August 10, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Richard has called Florida his home since June 1973. Richard loyally served his country for 24 years, joining the Army at the age of 17, where he did a tour in Korea and 2 tours in Vietnam. He then later dedicated over 30 years to the Cape Coral Postal service as a letter carrier. Richard adored his wife and devoted 53 loving years of marriage to her. Richard enjoyed making puzzles, collecting David Winter homes, and reading books.

Richard is preceded in passing by his parents Zigmund and Agnes Zeske, his sister Rosemary, and brothers Regis, Ronald, Thomas, and George.

Richard leaves his loving memory with his survivors, wife Co Thi Zeske, daughters Linda Zeske, Louise Mercurius, and Lisa Broom, brother Kenneth Zeske, and sisters Dolores Burchell and Audrey Bridge, grandchildren Taylor and Maverick Mallonee, Cody and Jiordan Mercurius. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Richard’s family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. The family will accept friend and relatives for a visitation Monday, April 22, 2024, at 9:30AM, and a small service in Richard’s honor will begin at 10AM.
