Nicholas Anthony Napolitano Jr.

Nicholas Anthony Napolitano Junior was born in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania on July 23, 1936 to father, Nicholas A. Napolitano and mother, Catherine. Nick had 4 younger siblings, 1 brother and 3 sisters. He lived in New York until moving to Florida in February of 2003.

Nick served in the US Air Force from July 6, 1954- December 18, 1957 where earned the rank of Airman First Class (E-4). He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

While serving in the US Air Force, Nick would meet a young lady by the name of Patricia Stephens and on April 11, 1959 they would get married. In 1965 they would have their son, Nicholas A. Napolitano III. Nick is also survived by his younger brother, Louis, and one younger sister, Louise.

He would eventually retire from the City of New York as the Manager of the HEAP program. In Florida, Nick would become a Founder and Vice President to Invest in America’s Veteran’s Foundation ­ Florida, Inc. as well as the Southwest Florida Military Museum and Library. He worked tirelessly to helping veterans and their families. He worked in bringing many organizations together to this end. Nick continued to work and volunteer until his 85th birthday when he finally retired to spend more time with his lovely bride.

Nick belonged to many veterans’ organizations. He is the Past President of the Korean War Veterans Association Gulf Coast Chapter 155, Past Commander of AMVETS Post 65, Past Commander of American Legion Post 90 and Past Commander of the Bayside Power Squadron. Nick also served on District and State levels for several organizations.
