Christopher “Chris” Michael Serrago

Christopher “Chris” Michael Serrago, 34, a Cape Coral resident for the last 15 years, formerly of Patchogue, N.Y., passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, in Fort Myers. He was born Feb. 20, 1980, in West Islip, N.Y.

He was of the Catholic faith. He graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School in New York in 1998. He was the owner and operator of Riverside Painting.

During his life he helped many people in recovery and had many friends who loved him. He had a big heart and an even bigger smile. We will all miss him very much and were blessed to have him in our lives.

He is survived by his father, Gary A. Serrago of Cape Coral; his mother, Regina W. Serrago of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Andrea Serrago of Seldon, N.Y.; paternal grandmother, Marie Serrago of Cape Coral; uncle, James Serrago Sr. of Cape Coral; as well as numerous other aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Anthony Serrago, and by his maternal grandparent,s Katherine and William Porter.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, April 24, at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. The family will receive friends also Thursday, April 24, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Mullins Memorial, 1056 N.E. 7th Terrace, Cape Coral.
