The Cape Coral Museum of History will host a “Get Involved Get Together” barbecue at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at the museum.

“Whether you are a new resident or have lived here for years, get involved in Cape Coral and take your first steps toward lots of future fun!” a release from the museum states. “We are expanding our volunteer corps and are looking for people to fill a variety of roles including working on outreach events, education, tours, programming, and so much more.”

Participants are invited to tour the museum “and learn all about our upcoming season of exciting events and fun.”

Hot dogs and hamburgers, with a vegan option available, will be served with beer, seltzers, and wine available.

Attendees are welcome to bring a dish to share.
