Sizzle Dining sets the table for helping local food-insecure elementary students

Sizzle Dining (restaurant week) is a 3-week long, annual, community-driven event that celebrates the culinary landscape in both Lee and Collier Counties by offering 3-course dinners and 2-course lunches at a discounted, set price. More than 20,000 Sizzle meals were sold last year even after losing the last few days because of the hurricane.

Held every September, the event includes 50+ of the best restaurants from Cape Coral down to Marco Island and everywhere tasty in between.

This year from Sept. 7 through Sept. 27, each of the participating restaurants will offer a 3-course prix-fixe dinner menu for $29, $39 or $49, and some restaurants will also offer a 2-course lunch for $19 or $29. Just pick from the participating restaurants, make your reservations directly with each restaurant, and enjoy the Sizzle Dining menu.

Showing support has never been so delicious. For every Sizzle Dining meal purchased during the three-week event, each participating restaurant will donate $1.00, directly to Blessings in a Backpack of Southwest Florida, a local 501c3 charity that feeds local food-insecure elementary students every weekend during the school year. #DineWithPurpose

Q: How does the charity donation work?

A: For every Sizzle Dining meal purchased during the three-week event, each participating restaurant will donate $1 directly to Blessings in a Backpack of SWFL, a local 501c3 charity that feeds food insecure elementary students every weekend during the school year. #DineWithPurpose

Q: How do I know which restaurants are participating?

A: They are listed on our website.

Q: Do I need a reservation?

A: Some restaurant will have walk-in seating available, but reservations are highly encouraged and its always best to not chance it during the event.

Q: Do I have to buy a ticket?

A: NO passes, tickets, vouchers or coupons are required. Just simply visit any one of the participating restaurants throughout the 21-day event and order from the Sizzle Dining menu.

Q. Where do you get all those amazing food photos and videos on your social media?

A: We provide a custom photoshoot to each participating restaurant to help showcase their delicious looking Sizzle Dining dishes!

Q: What should I expect when I arrive at the restaurant?

A: The participating restaurant should provide the Sizzle Dining menu along with their regular lunch/dinner menu upon seating. If they do not offer you the Sizzle Dining menu, please ask your server for one. Please let us know who’s been naughty lol – info@SizzleDining.com

Q: What are the special Sizzle Dining menu prices?

A: Each of the participating restaurants will offer a special 3-course prix-fixe dinner menu for $29, $39 or $49, and some restaurant will also offer a 2-course lunch for $19 or $29.

Q: Does this special price include beverages, taxes, and tips?

A: No, beverage, tax, and gratuity are not included. Please remember to tip your servers extra well. They work hard during Sizzle Dining and we don’t want them to hate the event, do we!

Q: What’s the social media contest all about?

A: Win Prizes! During the 21 days of the event, all you have to do is;

1.Take photos of your Sizzle Dining meal

2.Post it on your social media

3.Tag us (@SizzleDining) Find us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Twitter.

4.Use #SizzleDining and #DineWithPurpose – We randomly pick a winner every day from all those who posted the night before and one lucky person will receive a $50 restaurant gift card! Warning, following us will induce hunger!

Q: What is included in the Sizzle Dining prix-fixe meal?

A: The two-course lunch typically includes a choice of a soup/salad or app and entrée. The three-course dinner normally includes the choice of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Some restaurants might mix this up a little of course. Some bold restaurants will even offer a 4-course dinner for a 3-course price.

Q: Why do some restaurants have “upgrades” on their menu?

A: Some restaurants will offer these “upgrades” to enhance your Sizzle Dining experience. These upgrades allow you to add things to your meal like a lobster tail, extra shrimp, or a custom wine flight for just a small additional price. Be sure to try out each restaurants “Sizzle Cocktail” too!

Q: Can I use coupons, promotionally purchased gift certificates/cards, discounts or other offers in combination with Sizzle Dining?

A: No. Other discounts or offers cannot be used in combination with the Sizzle Dining promotion.

Q. If a restaurant is offering a price point for two people, how does that work?

A. Check out the restaurant in questions Sizzle Dining menu for details – usually, a price point for two will include a large shared entrée. Please contact the participating restaurants directly for details.

Q: Can I share/split the Sizzle Dining meal with another person?

A: Not normally. The regular Sizzle Dining lunch and dinner menu is per person unless the restaurant has a shared entrée.

Q. Anything else I should know?

A. Get hungry and tell your friends about the event! Sizzle Dining brings people together to relax, converse, and enjoy their dining experiences and that’s ALWAYS better with friends!
