Fort Myers Hooters employees deliver books for lending library at Lee Regional Cancer Center

Fort Myers Hooters employees Kenna Crider and Emily Hagedorn delivered books to the Lee Regional Cancer Center in Fort Myers on June 10. Every month, the Fort Myers Hooters location delivers additional books for patients, as well as word searches, coloring books, writing utensils and bookmarks.

“I am so grateful to be working for a company that values the community and giving back. We strive to help our community in any way we possibly can,” said Kenna Crider who works at Fort Myers Hooters.

“We are honored to partner with both the Lee Regional Cancer Center in Fort Myers. Our employees look forward to being a part of our monthly visits and meeting the patients when they bring the book cart around. We created the Hootie’s Lending Library program to provide books for kids and adults to read when they are in the hospital and every month we are always adding more books, word searches and other essentials to the selections in Southwest and South Florida. It is our priority to give back,” said South Florida Hooters Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.

Every month, the restaurant donates hundreds of books to the selection at each of the partnering hospitals and clinics. Since 2022, Hootie’s Lending Library has provided over 8,100 books to the local hospitals in South Florida and in Southwest Florida at the Lee Regional Cancer Center in Fort Myers and the Cancer Clinic in Bonita Springs.
