What:

Lee County Board of County Commissioners’ Summer of Safety Demonstration

The event will introduce Lee County’s new AED technology and will provide a demonstration. After the demonstration Lee County staff will be available for interviews pertaining to AEDs, drowning prevention and CPR. Media and members of the public are welcome. Speakers include County Commissioners, Public Safety staff and Parks & Recreation staff

When:

10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11

Where:

9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd., Estero

• From U.S. 41 drive east on Corkscrew Road for about 1 mile and turn south onto Corkscrew Palms Boulevard and arrive at Estero Community Park.

• From I-75: Drive west on Corkscrew Road for about 1.5 miles and turn south onto Corkscrew Palms Boulevard and arrive at Estero Community Park.

Upon arriving, park near the Recreation Center building.

There is no need to go into the Rec Center, though.

The event will be at the adjacent North Pavilion, which is just east of the Rec Center next to the horseshoe pits.

Note about the weather

We plan to proceed with the event despite forecasted rain.

The North Pavilion is a large picnic shelter with a roof.
