Sanibel Captiva Community Bank partners with PACE to collect donations for its Point Store

By Staff | Mar 18, 2024

PROVIDED

Through April 5, all Sanibel Captiva Community Bank branches are donation drop-off locations to benefit the PACE Center for Girls of Lee County’s Point Store. New items including clothing, jewelry, makeup and hair products, stuffed animals, pajamas, fuzzy socks, bedroom decor, art supplies and gift cards are being collected to stock PACE’s Point Store.

The Point Store is a critical component of PACE’s positive behavior system used to motivate, encourage and celebrate the good things students are doing at school and home and in the community. Year-round, the girls earn points by achieving good grades, behavior and attendance. Each month, the girls spend their earned points on items for themselves or their families at the Point Store located inside Pace Center.

Items may be donated at the following Sanibel Captiva Community Bank branches in Lee County:

• Bridge Branch, 239-274-6250, 9311 College Parkway, Fort Myers

• McGregor Branch, 239-210-7100, 15975 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers

PACE Center for Girls of Lee County offers year-round counseling and academic services for girls, ages 12-18, who are facing challenges such as foster care, domestic violence, abuse and neglect, death of a parent, substance abuse and/or family history of incarceration. At the request of community leaders and elected officials, PACE Lee was established in 2007 and since opening its doors has helped more than 1,000 girls find success in school, generate a positive relationship with their families and peers, and become productive members of the community.
