Florida Highway Patrol arrests driver for reckless driving, DUI

On May 23, at 1:39 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a report of a wrong way driver, traveling north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 75, near Alico Road, 128-mile marker. Troopers immediately responded and located a Lexus ES, stopped on the shoulder, facing the wrong way, at mile marker 132. The driver, later identified as Ashraf Mohammed, 42, of Fort Myers, was passed out behind the wheel.
Mohammed was placed under arrest for DUI, reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia, and booked into the Lee County Jail.
