Capt. Carman to speak at MOAA meeting Saturday

Capt. Jim Carman, USN (Ret), CAE, MOAA’s vice president, Council/Chapter and Member Support, will be the featured speaker at the Saturday, Feb. 11, breakfast meeting of the Cape Coral Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America.

Carman is a certified association executive, and his career includes service as a Navy pilot for nearly 25 years, plus three years in the Executive Office of the President as assistant national security advisor to the vice president, initially serving Vice President Dan Quayle and later reappointed by Vice President Al Gore.

Carmen joined the MOAA in 2012 and now serves as vice president for Council/Chapter and Member Support. He conducts career transition and benefits education facilitations and council and chapter visitations in support of MOAA’s advocacy, leadership, education and service missions.

All current, former and retired military officers and spouses are invited to attend the breakfast meeting, which is held at the Cape Royal Golf Club, 11469 Royal Tee Circle, Cape Coral. The breakfast meeting begins at 10 a.m, and costs $12, payable at the door (cash only).
