The city of Cape Coral will close the two public hurricane debris drop-off sites as of Saturday, Dec. 17.

The last day for use is Friday, Dec. 16.

The number of citizens bringing vegetation and construction and demolition debris to the drop-off sites has decreased significantly, city officials said.

Once the sites are closed the city’s contracted hauler will begin demobilizing and restoring both sites, at 2930 N.W. 13th St. and 1821 S.W. 42nd St., to their pre-hurricane condition.
