Collier County’s official records system will be offline this weekend for service upgrades

By Staff | Feb 29, 2024

The Collier County Clerk of Court and Comptroller will be upgrading the County’s Official Records System. All access to official records including document searches, eRecording, and deposit account logins will be offline between Saturday, March 2 at midnight through Monday, March 4, at 7 a.m.

This update is a part of Clerk Kinzel’s pledge to increase transparency and accessibility for government services.

Enhancements to the Official Records System will include a variety of new features including:

eCertified Copies – Users will be able to purchase electronic, certified copies of recorded documents and download them immediately.

Public eRecording – The public will be able to submit documents for eRecording without having a deposit account.

Mobile eRecording – Citizens will be able to use their cell phone or mobile tablet to snap a picture of a document and eRecord from anywhere.

Expanded Official Records Searches – The records search function will include Parcel IDs (where available), and citizens will be able to search by street address.

On-Line Marriage License Applications – Couples will be able to apply for and receive a Marriage License on-line without visiting the Clerk’s office.

On-Line Marriage Ceremonies – Couples will be able to get married via videoconference from anywhere in the State of Florida.

New Document Imaging Software – Users will be able to scan documents into the eRecording process from virtually any scanner or upload PDFs. There will no longer be a requirement to scan documents to a to TIF file before uploading.

Enhanced Security – A new, secure login process will be used for all business and public users. This login provides access to many of the new features.

If you have specific questions or concerns, please contact the Clerk’s Recording Department at 239-252-7242 or by email recordinghelp@collierclerk.com. The scheduled maintenance will only impact the Official Records System. Additional eServices such as Jury Duty Reporting, paying Traffic Violations, and accessing free legal forms will continue to be available on CollierClerk.com.
