The School District of Lee County to host Summer Virtual Recruitment Fair on June 12

The School District of Lee County is hosting a Summer Virtual Recruitment Fair from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, June 12 to recruit for a range of positions for the 2023-24 school year.

During the virtual event, principals and department hiring managers will be interviewing and hiring teachers, school counselors and instructional support professionals. High-demand positions include English, elementary education, science, math and special education, as well as non-instructional positions. Applicants can register at LeeSchools.net.

The School District of Lee County is among the largest school districts in Florida and the United States. To be considered for a teaching or school counselor position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Hold a valid standard teaching certificate (Florida or out-of-state) OR

• Expected to graduate from a college of education by August 2023 OR

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in an area where certification can be obtained or any degree major and a passing score on a subject area exam AND

• School counselors must hold a master’s degree in the proper area
