Find out how to do business with the Lee County School District at annual Vendor Open House

By Staff | Nov 3, 2022

The School District of Lee County is hosting its 4th Annual Vendor Open House on Friday, Nov. 4. The open house is an opportunity for interested businesses to learn how to do business with the School District. The event was originally scheduled for Sept. 27 but postponed by Hurricane Ian.

For construction bids, the open house includes a “match making” session for large/prime contractors who have been awarded District major construction projects to meet smaller/ subcontractors who may bid on work directly with the prime contractors. These connections will help local talent increase their partnerships and business opportunities.

For goods and services, businesses can:

• Learn about the goods and services the District procures

• Learn how to register and bid on District contracts

• Learn how to monitor bidding opportunities

• Learn how to submit bids that comply with District bidding requirements

District staff from multiple departments will be available to meet potential suppliers and contractors to strengthen current connections or make new ones. The end result should help increase competition for District work and expand opportunities for local businesses.

The 4th Annual Vendor Open House Nov. 4 is from 9 a.m. to noon in the Caloosahatchee Room of the Lee County Public Education Center at 2855 Colonial Blvd. Business representatives who wish to attend are asked to register online. Interested businesses can also learn more about the procurement process and open house on the School District website at www.leeschools.net/our_district/departments/business_services/procurement_services.
