Greater Fort Myers Chamber luncheon to highlight networking tips

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon June 16 will spotlight “Networking in Four Simple Steps.”

Guests of the luncheon will hear from speaker Bill Utnage, Southwest Florida regional partner for Master Networks, a national business building organization. Utnage will provide tips on improving networking experiences, including insights into efficient networking strategies and methods to build relationships that last a lifetime.

The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Myers-Estero, located 10450 Corkscrew Commons Drive in Estero. Admission is $25 for chamber members and $35 for future members and includes lunch.

Businesses Supporting Communities announces 2022-2023 events lineup

Businesses Supporting Communities events has announced its 2022 lineup of events throughout Southwest Florida, including WINK’s Taste of the Town, which will now take place on three separate dates in Fort Myers, Naples, and Punta Gorda.

BSC’s mission is to connect Southwest Floridians with local businesses, and local charities through its events. Each of the 8 events will feature and contribute to a local charitable organization. Their 2022-2023 events will benefit Cameo of Lee County, Harry Chapin Food Bank, Caloosa Rotary Club of Cape Coral, and more.

The 2022-2023 Event Schedule is:

Busey Bank Bridge Scholarship now available

Busey Bank is now offering the Busey Bank Bridge Scholarship.

Through the Busey Bank Bridge Scholarship Fund, $25,000 in scholarships will be awarded annually. Available across the Busey footprint, funds will be disbursed through 10 scholarships of $2,500 each. Applicants must reside in one of the following counties within the applicable states below: Illinois: Champaign, Ford, McLean, Peoria, Tazewell, Macon, Will, Grundy, Cook, DuPage, Madison, St. Clair; Missouri: St. Louis, St. Louis City, St. Charles; Florida: Lee, Sarasota; and Indiana: Hamilton, Marion

The scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books or supplies for continuing education. Both an online and paper application are available on busey.com. The application deadline is June 30, 2022, and selected recipients will be notified by July 31, 2022.

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank President Kyle DeCicco was selected by the Independent Community Bankers’ Association for its annual 40 Under 40: Emerging Community Bank Leaders Awards.

This national award program recognizes 40 community-minded, innovative leaders under 40 years old who represent the future of the community banking industry. Candidates from all over the country are chosen based on their character, leadership, community involvement and innovation in community banking.

In January 2022, DeCicco was named bank president while maintaining his role as senior loan officer. He oversees management, operations and the expansion of the bank’s lending division.

DeCicco joined the bank in 2016 as vice president and commercial loan officer, with a focus on commercial real estate lending and relationship development with local businesses and investors.

Priority Marketing hires Rosales as marketing coordinator

Livia Rosales has joined Priority Marketing as a marketing coordinator who works alongside account managers and department directors to help clients reach their goals.

In this role, Rosales facilitates communications between clients and the firm’s account services team, as well as marketing professionals whose responsibilities include advertising, public relations, graphic design, web development and digital marketing. Account management duties include assigning and expediting projects, managing budgets, and coordinating production deadlines, creative deadlines and media placements.

Rosales previously was a social media intern for a St. Petersburg-based marketing and lead generation agency, where she created social media campaigns and syndication schedules, elevated brand awareness, and designed graphics and social media posts. She also has experience as a marketing intern for a financial services firm.
