Welcome a new pet by making a “Pit Stop” at Lee County Domestic Animal Services

By Staff | Aug 2, 2021

The dog adoption center at Lee County Domestic Animal Services is approaching capacity, so members of the public are invited to make a “Pit Stop” in August, while the adoption fee for all dogs more than 30 pounds is $20.

The adoption fee for all pets includes: spay/neuter surgery; age-appropriate vaccinations; flea treatment; deworming; heartworm test for dogs 6 months or older; feline AIDS and leukemia test for cats; a Lee County license for pets 3 months or older; Microchip Pet ID; and a 10-day Health Check. The total adoption package is valued at more than $600.

Adoption hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the shelter, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office off Six Mile Cypress Parkway. Submit adoption applications online at www.LeeLostPets.com or at the shelter. View pets that are currently available at the website, which updates hourly.

Adoptable dogs are also featured on Animal Services’ Facebook and Instagram pages.
