Watermelon sculpting class offered at Edison and Ford Winter Estates

On Feb. 18, at 10 a.m., Edison and Ford Winter Estates will offer a class on floral fruit carving, where participants will learn how to sculpt a watermelon into a beautiful floral work of art. This is the first time that this class is being offered at the Estates.

Taught by floral designer, Anita Singh, this hands-on workshop will teach the techniques needed to create stunning floral carvings on melons. Singh will share her expertise and guide participants through the step-by-step process of carving flower designs. Singh will teach different carving techniques, including shading, detailing, and creating lifelike petals.

Class cost is $85 for non-members or $75 for Edison Ford members. No experience is required. All necessary tools and watermelons will be provided. Registration is required for this hands-on workshop at EdisonFord.org.
