Cape Coral Animal Shelter’s Blessing of the Pets set for Oct. 1
Residents and visitors can bring their pets to the Cape Coral Animal Shelter Sunday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m., for the 4th Annual Blessing of the Pets.
This outdoor event is open to people and pets of all faiths. There will be a very special service celebrating the special bond people have with their pets and each pet will receive a special blessing from Pastor Mark McAnlis from First Congregational Church and the Rev. Denise Sawyer from Lee Health.
Each participant will receive a prayer card and St. Francis medallion (the Patron Saint of Animals). There will be a photo station for pictures with your pet, a bake sale and a CCAS swag boutique.
Dogs must always be on a leash (no retractable leashes). Cats, critters and other pets must be in a carrier.
