CROW postpones fundraiser, extends early ticket deadline

By Staff | Jan 20, 2022

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife’s fundraiser, “WILD About CROW,” will now be held on Friday, March 11, from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m., at the historic Burroughs Home and Gardens in Fort Myers. Originally set for Jan. 15, the event was postponed due to the recent COVID-19 variant spike in cases.

“The health of our attendees, our staff and our animals is our foremost concern,” CROW Executive Director Alison Charney Hussey said. “WILD about CROW is attended by many of our hospital staff handling our Ambassador Animals and we couldn’t risk potential exposure to them or to the attendees.”

In addition, CROW reported that the purchase period for discounted tickets at the price of $150 per person has been extended. The price will now increase to $175 per person on Feb. 21 at 5 p.m.

CROW also announced that Jen Stacy, with ABC7, will emcee the event and assist auctioneer Chris Marchaund. Also, the Millenial Brewing Company has been added as a Burrowing Owl Brew sponsor.
