Midwest Food Bank of Florida – a volunteer-driven, faith-based organization dedicated to alleviating hunger, malnutrition and providing disaster relief locally, and throughout the world has received a $25,000 grant award from local charity Spring Run Charitable Foundation.

Raising over $200,000 from its year-round efforts, the SRCF sought out a variety of local nonprofits to donate these funds to. During the recent award ceremony in Estero, several local and deserving nonprofits were awarded grant funds from the foundation. As one of the recipients, Midwest Food Bank Florida’s mission of food relief appealed greatly to the local charity, its board members and community of supporters.
