ARABIAN GULF Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Wade Discuillo, from Fort Myers, prepares to enter the water during a search and rescue exercise a-board the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60). Normandy is de-ployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations as part of Theodore Roose-velt Carrier Strike Group supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
