KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) – Jamaican authorities say they have seized 165 pounds (75 kilograms) pounds of cocaine and 175 pounds (79 kilograms) of compressed marijuana at Montego Bay’s airport.

Sgt. Jubert Llewellyn says the drugs were found in two suitcases left unclaimed on a luggage cart at Sangster International Airport, one of two primary airports in a Caribbean nation that depends heavily on tourism.

The spokesman for a Jamaican anti-drug task force said Sunday that agents are trying to determine the origin of the drugs, which he said were destined for a departing Virgin Atlantic flight.
