Jaffarian earns degree from Widener University

CHESTER, Pa. — Widener University recently awarded degrees to undergraduate students who completed their studies. Ceremonies were held Thursday, May 12, and Saturday, May 14. The university provided two in-person, outdoor celebration options:

A drive-through ceremony May 12 where graduates were able to exit their vehicles and be recognized as they crossed a stage in front of the historic Old Main administration building.

A traditional ceremony May 14 at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.

The graduates included Andrew R. Jaffarian of Cape Coral, a cum laude graduate who earned a bachelor of science in management from the School of Business Administration.

Janito named to Marquette University’s spring 2022 Dean’s List

MILWAUKEE Wis. – Elizabeth Janito of Cape Coral has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2022 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Janito is pursuing a doctorate in occupational therapy.

To make the Dean’s List, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the spring 2021 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college – for the College of Education and the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, undergraduate students must have at least a 3.7 to be named to the Dean’s List.

The undergraduate GPA requirement is 3.5 for the following colleges: the Diederich College of Communication, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the Opus College of Engineering and the College of Nursing. All other programs have a 3.75 GPA minimum.

Local students graduate from Flagler College

ST AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The following students graduated from Flagler College on Monday, May 9, at its spring commencement ceremony:

• Caitlin Caulfield of Cape Coral with a BA in political science.

• Mariana Marquez of Fort Myers with a BA in international studies.

A total of 546 undergraduate degrees were awarded during the ceremony, which was held in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

As an institution that values academic rigor, Flagler College offers 32 majors, 44 minors and two-pre professional programs to approximately 2,500 students.
