Hanhurst named a Presidential Scholar at Clarkson University
POTSDAM, N.Y. — Charles Robert Hanhurst of Cape Coral, a freshman majoring in biology, was named a Presidential Scholar for the Spring 2022 semester at Clarkson University.
Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.
As a private, national research university, Clarkson is a leader in technological education and sustainable economic development through teaching, scholarship, research and innovation. With its main campus located in Potsdam, N.Y., and additional graduate program and research facilities in the New York Capital Region, Beacon, N.Y., and New York City, Clarkson educates 4,300 students across 95 programs of study in engineering, business, the arts, education, sciences and health professions.
Roach named to Spring 2022 Dean’s List at ENMU
PORTALES, N.M. — Spencer Roach of Cape Coral has been named to Eastern New Mexico University’s dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours with a GPA of 3.25 or greater.

Bautista graduates from Andrew College
CUTHBERT, GA. — The following students graduated Saturday, May 7, during Andrew College’s 168th Commencement Ceremony:
Mark Bautista of Cape Coral with an associate of science criminal justice, and Barron Northorp, with an associate of science business administration degree.

Knoth earns Spring 2022 dean’s list honors at Nazareth College
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Nazareth College is proud to announce that Matthew Knoth of Cape Coral has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.
A student’s grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean’s list at Nazareth.

Cerretani graduates from Stonehill College in Massachusetts
EASTON, MA — Olivia Cerretani of Cape Coral was among 561 students to process at Stonehill College’s 71st Commencement on Sunday, May 22. DeBrenna Agbenyiga, provost and vice president for academic affairs, presided over the ceremony.

Buck and Castillo named to Saint Mary’s College Names Dean’s List

Holloway makes Spring 2022 Dean’s List at Georgia Southwestern State University
AMERICUS, GA — Hannah Holloway, a resident of St. James City, made the Spring 2022 Dean’s List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 542 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

Hodges University to award $500,000 in scholarships
Hodges University announced it will be awarding $500,000 in scholarships to new students who start in September 2022. The deadline to apply to Hodges University and be considered for a scholarship is June 30, 2022.
“Inflation is serious and is hurting all of us, and we want to continue to support our students and their career goals as much as possible,” said Dr. John Meyer, President of Hodges University. “We’ve held our tuition rates at last year’s level, and now we are now offering $500,000 in scholarships for new Hodges University students.”
The scholarships are targeted for students interested in those healthcare areas with so much demand, nursing, physical therapy, and dental hygiene. There are also scholarships available for students studying any of Hodges’ other degree programs, like accounting, business, and technology. These scholarships are part of the gift from the University’s namesakes, Thelma and the late Earl Hodges.
