Back to School Supply Drive starts June 25

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Inc. is holding its annual Back to School Supply Drive from June 25 to Aug. 5 at several participating locations across Lee County and at the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. Donations will benefit the Foundation’s Education Resource Center which provides Lee County School District educators access to new and reusable classroom supplies at no cost. During this uncertain time we want to ensure that educators and students have the necessary tools to succeed.

Suggested donations include notebook paper, pens, #2 pencils, crayons, glue sticks, rulers, notebooks, three-ring binders, scissors, and backpacks.

Donations can be made online by purchasing a backpack kit full of supplies at: order.kitsforkidz.org/category/51/foundation-for-lee-county-schools

“Our teachers do an excellent job of engaging our students in learning and preparing them for their futures as productive citizens, however, if a student does not have the tools necessary to succeed, then learning at the highest level cannot take place,” said Marshall T. Bower, President & CEO of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. “With 75% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch, the need is very high in our school district and this supply drive helps to ensure that all students come to school prepared to learn.
