Art organizations offer shows, classes

Cape Coral has two different groups offering fine arts education: The Cape Coral Arts Studio and The Cape Coral Art League. The Cape Coral Arts Studio is located off Coronado Parkway and is sponsored and supported by the City of Cape Coral. The Cape Coral Art League is located off Cultural Parkway next to the Cultural Park Theatre Company and the Cape Coral Historical Museum. The Cape Coral Art League is a non-profit organization that is operated by its volunteer members.

Cape Coral Arts Studio offers all types of art classes from youth to adult and even combined age classes. They have numerous juried art shows and exhibits throughout the year, as well as specialized art classes from renowned teachers. They teach painting, cartooning, pottery, stained glass, oil painting, calligraphy, glass fusing, egg decorating, photography, watercolor, and pastels. Give them a call to obtain a detailed listing of the dates and times of classes.

The Cape Coral Art League offers a variety of classes and workshops by renowned artists. They teach the art of painting from oils and acrylics to basic drawing and watercolor. The league has continuous judged and juried art shows for public viewing. They also have an annual judged student art show and give scholarships to deserving youth. Classes are offered throughout the year and are published in the Daily Breeze. The league is open at specified times and on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.
