District 6 (primary): Frank Antos Jr
1. platform: A. Better education of people of Cape Coral. They have too much misinformation; half truths, and want to better inform them.
B. Delay of water and sewer for two years. Plus lower interest rate from 7 1/2 percent to 4 percent. Pay only as owner about to be done, not three years in advance
C. Be available to them 24/7.
D. Keep budget down as low as possible. Freeze salary and hiring.
2. top three issues: A. Water/Sewer
B. Budget; C. New business in Cape to make more jobs and help with growth to increase development
3. leadership roles: A. Run meetings, set agenda and meeting policies. Attend new openings and ribbon cuttings, plus vote on issues at meetings as do council members. Take leadership role, council members.
B. Vote on agenda and help set policy for city as mayor does also take strong leadership roll in community.
4. UEP:
A. No impact fees
B. Pay for water and sewer as provided, when provided
C. Supply water and sewer at same time, not one then re-pave, tear up and re-pave again. Both done at some time saving time and money.
D. Set date for each zone to be started and finished then go on to next. Let people know when it will be started not years early or later.
5. Budget priorities: Budget, keep as low as possible, yet supply needed services. Fire and police first then other as needed.
6. Tax rate: Keep taxes at same level as last year, even if ad valorem goes up, dollars per year should be kept same as last year. Reason is our property has gone down in value so can raise dollar amount to keep up with dollars needed to provide service.
C. Fees or diversification of the tax base. No extra tax rate on extras Like the electric bill, phone, cable etc. No tax advantage this way. All taxes should only be on ad valorem tax and bill at end of year
D. Cost cutting:
1. City attorney office reduce number of assistants the city attorney has, go from four assistants to only two and hire two extra para legals; $485,000 for legal is way too high in this economy.
2. Reduce work hour from 40 hours to 36 hours or close one day a week and have a four day week for a year if needed to meet the budget. Do not decide to lay off or fire employees
3. Hold back any new parks or sidewalks till this drop in home values taxes collected is raised back to previous level of two years ago.

No affiliations with any group conflict of interest only in Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, church groups, civic community groups.
So far only endorsed by Cape Coral and Lee County Board of Realtors for this race.
